Worked DXCC from Africa

The logs of the Gatti Hallicrafters Expedition 1947-1948 are lost, unfortunately. Bob had his own logbook (the number 7 one) with him on the expedition. Bob noted a total of 3,822 QSOs. The operators did work 122 countries and 39 CQ zones From VQ3HGE, Tanganyika. Only missing zone 23, Tibet, and missing the state of Montana. The states of Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Rhode Island and Wyoming where not worked from VQ4EHG, Kenya We must be very glad there are such institutes as the QSL museum in Austria. But also individuals, like Tom, K8CX, and Gerard, PA1AT, are collecting QSL-cards from those early hams. Even I have made QSOs with some of the stations, mentioned below in the VQ3EHG table, below.
